Experienced Airbus Captain and Type Rating Instructor (TRI) / Examiner (TRE)

Key Responsibilities and Role Overview:
The successful candidate will serve as an accomplished Airbus Captain and a certified Type Rating Instructor (TRI) or Examiner (TRE), playing a crucial role in flight operations, training, and maintaining the highest safety standards across Airbus aircraft types including the A320, A330, and A350. This position demands comprehensive operational knowledge, instructional expertise, and a commitment to excellence.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time.
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Experience: At least 2,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
- Turbine Aircraft Experience: A minimum of 2,000 hours on turbine aircraft.
- Airbus Type Experience:
- A minimum of 2,000 hours on type (Airbus A320, A330, and/or A350 aircraft).
- At least 2,500 hours as Captain on Airbus Aircraft.
- Must be current and experienced as Captain and Type Rating Instructor (TRI) on Airbus A320, A330, and/or A350 aircraft.
- A minimum of 2,000 hours on large jet aircraft.
- Instructor/Examiner Proficiency:
- A minimum of 500 hours of instructor experience in a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) on large aircraft.
- At least 500 hours of experience as Captain specifically assigned to conduct Line Initial Familiarization Under Supervision (LIFUS) or Initial Operating Experience (IOE).
- Hold a valid Instructor certificate, without restrictions, for the relevant aircraft type.
- A significant portion of instructor experience must be focused on initial type rating training.
- Demonstrated expertise in Evidence-Based Training (EBT) / Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodologies.
- Licenses & Ratings:
- Valid EASA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Current Type Rating Instructor (TRI) and/or Type Rating Examiner (TRE) qualification.
- Medical & Language Proficiency:
- Hold a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Achieved ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher.
- Advanced Operational Qualifications:
- Possess a Low Visibility Operations qualification, evidenced by at least one Autoland on an Airbus Fly-By-Wire (FBW) aircraft as Captain.
- Hold or have held an Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards (ETOPS) qualification.
- General Aviation Experience: Significant commercial airline experience is essential.
Desired Skills and Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Type Rating Examiner (TRE) is highly advantageous.
