This position requires a minimum of 2500 hours total flight time, including 500 hours in multi-engine land aircraft. A multi-engine commercial license is required; Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification is preferred. The candidate must possess a valid passport and maintain 90-day currency.
The Captain is responsible for all aspects of the flight, and while tasks may be delegated to the Second-in-Command (SIC), the Captain retains ultimate responsibility. Duties include obtaining and reviewing all weather and flight planning data pertinent to the flight. The Captain ensures the aircraft is properly loaded and remains within center of gravity and gross weight limitations.
