Citation X+ Captain
Silver Air Private Jets seeks an experienced and highly qualified Captain to join their team flying a state-of-the-art Citation X+. This exceptional opportunity offers a unique seasonal basing arrangement, with operations primarily based at Scottsdale Airport (SDL) from November through May and Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport (DIJ) from June through October. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence for a discerning clientele.
This Citation X+ aircraft represents the pinnacle of modern business aviation, having recently undergone a comprehensive modernization including new paint, a redesigned interior, an upgraded galley, and global Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity. It is one of the most well-equipped Citation X+ aircraft in operation, designed for both superior charter performance and luxurious presentation.
The Citation X+ Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft on all flights. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who consistently strives for excellence and is dedicated to meeting the travel needs of Silver Air clients.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft to ensure airworthiness before each flight.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Completing detailed checks of weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including primary and alternate airports.
- Ensuring all flights are conducted in full compliance with Silver Air policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Prioritizing and ensuring the safety of all passengers, crew members, and the aircraft at all times.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork in accordance with current operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 3000 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 3000 hours
- Multi-Engine PIC Time: 2000 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 1750 hours (preferred)
- Total Time in Aircraft Type (CE-750): 200 hours
- PIC Time in Aircraft Type (CE-750): 100 hours
- Type Rating: CE-750 or comparable aircraft type rating.
- Medical Certificate: Valid First Class Medical Certificate (required).
- Part 135 Experience: Previous experience operating under FAR Part 135 is preferred, but not required.
- ICAO Annex I - 2.1.1.0 Compliance: Compliant with standards pertaining to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- CANPASS Authorization: Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted commercial pilot travel to/from Canada.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service orientation and exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) for professional interaction with employees and clients at all levels.
- Attention to Detail: High level of organization, the ability to adapt to changing environments, and flexibility to manage frequently shifting priorities.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills, capability to work on an on-call basis, and proficiency in performing well under pressure while multi-tasking. As a 24/7 operation, a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong people skills and the ability to contribute effectively as a team player.
