The successful candidate for this demanding aviation role will demonstrate a profound commitment to flight safety and operational excellence. Essential qualifications include extensive flight experience, robust certification, and meticulous adherence to international aviation regulations. A minimum of 3,500 hours of total flight time is required, with at least 3,000 hours accrued as Pilot-in-Command (PIC). This must include a substantial 3,000 hours of multi-engine flight time, of which a minimum of 2,000 hours must be as PIC. While not strictly mandatory, candidates possessing 1,750 hours of total turbine engine flight time are highly preferred.

Prospective pilots must hold a current and valid First Class Medical Certificate, which is a non-negotiable requirement for this position. Prior experience operating under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 135 is considered advantageous, though it is not a mandatory prerequisite. Crucially, the ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization is essential for facilitating unrestricted commercial flight operations to and from Canada. Furthermore, candidates must ensure full compliance with ICAO Annex 1, Section 2.1.1.0, particularly concerning multi-pilot aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations, underscoring a dedication to global aviation standards.
