Lead Captain - Aviation Resource Management (ARM)
Silver Air seeks a highly skilled and experienced Lead Captain to join its team, operating with a culture of excellence where pilots are at the core of its vision. The Lead Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. He will join a team dedicated to providing the highest quality experience to both team members and clients.
Responsibilities:
As Lead Captain, he is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. His duties include:
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft.
- Conducting proper pre-flight inspections.
- Following all policies according to Silver Air and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Planning and executing flight operations for private jets, including flight planning, fuel management, and weight and balance calculations.
- Conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Completing a thorough check of weather and facilities along the route and at airports to be used, including alternate airports.
- Accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Aviation Resource Management (ARM) Responsibilities:
- Liaising with the Aircraft Owner and internal Silver Air departments to ensure efficient aircraft operation according to the overall management plan.
- Serving as a leader and mentor to all team members assigned to the aircraft.
- Understanding the aircraft's management plan, including owner usage and charter levels, and ensuring goals are met.
- Collaborating with the dedicated Maintenance Manager to coordinate and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Ensuring the aircraft is stocked and mission-ready for all owner and charter flights.
- Partnering with People and Culture regarding all crewing activities, including developing a crew plan, communicating with owners, applicants, and the Chief Pilot.
- Participating in the scheduling of flight crew for charters and owner flights, working with Flight Support to establish a Hard Days Off schedule.
- Ensuring the efficient and cost-effective use of internal and external resources for the aircraft.
- Providing training and guidance to personnel on ARM best practices and procedures.
- Reviewing monthly statement items with the dedicated Accounting Manager and Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours, with 3000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Multi-engine time: 3000 hours, with 2000 hours as PIC.
- Total Turbine time: 1750 hours preferred.
- Time in airplane type: 200 hours, with 100 hours as PIC.
- Type rating on P.180 or comparable aircraft.
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Previous Part 135 experience preferred.
- Compliance with ICAO Annex I - 2.1.1.0, pertaining to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.

He will be working with the same three pilots for the specific tail number and aircraft type, consisting of a Lead Captain, Captain, and First Officer team. He will also be supported by a dedicated Flight Management and Support team.
