Position Summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is actively recruiting a highly qualified Jet Turbine Pilot to join its expanding Part 91 flight department. The successful candidate will operate and maintain a sophisticated fleet of modern business aircraft, including Gulfstream G500, Hawker 4000, Pilatus PC24, and Bell 429. This critical role requires the pilot to reside in the picturesque Redding, California area, a region renowned for its abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, offering an ideal environment for work and leisure.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC) for assigned aircraft.
• Ensure strict adherence to all federal aviation regulations and company policies governing flight and ground operations.
• Analyze weather conditions to make informed decisions regarding potential delays, rerouting, or flight cancellations.
• Conduct comprehensive aircraft inspections and pre-flight checks to guarantee operational safety.
• Prioritize and ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers and crew members.
• Provide support for dispatching functions related to airport and fuel requirements.
• Manage aircraft refueling and coordinate necessary servicing.
• Maintain accurate flight logs, including details on flight time, altitude, and fuel consumption.
• Understand and comply with all airport and company security protocols, maintaining requisite clearances and training.
• Represent the company by embodying and promoting professionalism and exceptional customer service.
• Cultivate and sustain effective interpersonal relationships with management and regular passengers.
• Assist with ground transportation arrangements for passengers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a jet pilot.
• Current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
• Valid FAA First Class Medical certificate.
• No FAA sanctions or accidents within the past five years.
• Preference will be given to candidates holding type ratings for company aircraft.
• Demonstrated understanding of FAA Part 91 regulations, weather phenomena, and air traffic control procedures.
• Possesses a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and operational demands.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including occasional multi-day trips.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual wage range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000, commensurate with relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and education.
