Position Summary

Scoot is expanding its Embraer narrow-body operations and invites applications from experienced Turboprop Captains aspiring to transition to commercial jet operations. The airline seeks candidates who demonstrate strong command capabilities, exceptional safety leadership, and operational discipline to join the team.

Job Description

As a Captain in the left-hand seat, the incumbent will maintain the highest professional standards, ensuring safe, comfortable, and punctual flight operations while fostering team development and delivering the "Scootitude" experience.

Requirements for Pilots Without Prior Jet Experience

  • Minimum of 4,000 total flight hours on aeroplanes with a Maximum Take-Off Mass (MTOM) of 5,700kg or more.
  • Minimum of 2,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours (excluding P1 U/S hours) on multi-engine turboprop commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi-crew operation.

Licensing and Eligibility

  • Must hold a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) issued ICAO ATPL. Foreign ATPL holders will be required to undergo license conversion, including an instrument rating and a proficiency check with a minimum of 6 months' validity.
  • Proficiency in English with a minimum of ICAO Level 4.
  • Must satisfy all vaccination requirements as stipulated by the CAAS.

Training and Development

Successful candidates will receive Aircraft Type Rating training for the assigned fleet. Note that this training involves a required co-payment of costs and the execution of a training bond.

Application Process

The recruitment process for shortlisted applicants includes:

  • Completion of a series of online aptitude tests.
  • Participation in an Assessment Centre in Singapore, comprising a group exercise and an individual interview.
  • A two-day assessment period consisting of a Simulator Assessment and a Personality Assessment.
