Job Summary

Scoot is expanding its Embraer narrow-body operations and invites experienced Turboprop Captains to transition into commercial jet operations. The airline seeks candidates who demonstrate exceptional safety leadership, strong command capabilities, and operational discipline.

Position Overview

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates without prior jet experience must meet the following criteria:

  • Total flight hours exceeding 4,000 hours on aeroplanes with a Maximum Take-off Mass (MTOM) of 5,700kg or more.
  • A minimum of 2,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on multi-engine turboprop commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi-crew operation (excluding P1 U/S hours).

Licensing and Regulatory Requirements

  • Possession of a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) issued ICAO ATPL (Foreign ATPL holders must undergo license conversion, requiring a valid instrument rating and proficiency check with at least 6 months of validity).
  • English language proficiency of ICAO Level 4 or higher.
  • Compliance with all vaccination requirements mandated by the CAAS.

Training and Bond Conditions

Successful candidates will receive Aircraft Type Rating training for the assigned fleet. Participation in this training entails a co-payment of training costs and the signing of a training bond.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted applicants will complete a series of online aptitude tests.
  • Successful candidates from the online stage will be invited to an Assessment Centre in Singapore, consisting of a group exercise and an individual interview.
  • Finalists will undergo a two-day Simulator Assessment and a Personality Assessment.
