Job Description

Located in Singapore, Scoot is expanding its Airbus narrow-body operations and invites applications from experienced A320 Type-Rated Captains who demonstrate strong command capability, safety leadership, and operational discipline. Successful candidates will benefit from fixed roster patterns and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

Captains will command flights, upholding personal and professional standards to ensure safety, comfort, and punctuality. They will set an example, develop team members, and deliver the Scootitude experience to passengers.

A320 Requirements:

Pilots with Jet experience:

  • Total Flight Hours: More than 3,500 hours on aeroplanes with a Maximum Take-Off Mass (MTMA) of 5,700kg or more.
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours: A minimum of 1,000 PIC hours (excluding P1 U/S hours) on multi-engine jet, commercial airline transport aircraft certificated for multi-crew operation.

Licensing Requirements:

  • A Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore issued ICAO ATPL. Foreign ATPL holders will be required to undergo license conversion, which includes an instrument rating and a proficiency check with a minimum of 6 months' validity.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak and understand English with a minimum of ICAO Level 4.
  • Satisfy all vaccination requirements as mandated by CAAS.

Training Co-Payment & Training Bond:

  • Successful candidates may receive type rating training for the assigned fleet.
  • Candidates receiving type rating training will be subject to a co-payment of training costs and will be required to enter a training bond.

What's Next:

  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a series of online aptitude tests.
  • Following the online assessment stage, shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre in South Africa, comprising a group stage and an individual interview.
  • Successful candidates will need to attend a Simulator Assessment in South Africa.
  • Successful candidates will be invited for an Online Personality Assessment.
