Air Steward Position at SAS - Copenhagen Airport Kastrup
SAS, a leading Scandinavian airline, is seeking highly motivated and service-oriented individuals to join its team as Air Stewards, based at Copenhagen Airport Kastrup.
Responsibilities:
Air Stewards play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, punctuality, and exceptional service on board SAS flights. They are responsible for:
- Creating a positive and safe environment for passengers and colleagues on long-haul flights.
- Organizing, supervising, and structuring galley operations, including briefing colleagues on the menu and wine service.
- Serving as product specialists, possessing thorough knowledge of SAS service concepts and effectively communicating this information to colleagues.
- Actively contributing to a positive onboard atmosphere, calmly and composedly resolving any challenges that may arise.
- Maintaining a high level of teamwork and coordination, ensuring safety and punctuality on board and in service planning.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and experience:
- Experience as Cabin Crew is desired, with documented knowledge of restaurant operations considered an advantage.
- Minimum of two years' work experience with sales experience being beneficial.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with Scandinavian language proficiency being advantageous.
- Strong teamwork and responsibility skills, with a structured and punctual approach and a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with a high stress threshold.
- Solution-oriented mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and improvising when necessary.
- Natural understanding of teamwork and safety, with a commitment to exceeding customer and colleague expectations.
Educational Background:
- Education as a chef or waiter is considered an advantage.
- Completion of high school or equivalent level of education is required.
Personal Attributes:
- Team-oriented and responsible.
- Structured and punctual with strong organizational skills.
- Highly adaptable and capable of managing a high-pressure environment.

Requirements:
- Excellent physical and mental health, including good vision (+/- 0.7 with or without corrections) and normal color vision.
- Ability to pass a health screening, including drug and alcohol testing, and obtain the necessary certification.
- Strong swimming skills.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Height between 160 cm and 190 cm.
- Ability to adhere to uniform regulations.
- Valid EU passport allowing unrestricted worldwide travel.
- Eligibility to live and work permanently in Denmark.
- Willingness to undergo a personal 5-year background check and provide a criminal record (all countries resided) at the time of employment.

For Experienced Cabin Crew:
- Valid EASA Attestation (flown minimum 12 months continuously in the last 4 years).
- Valid EASA Cabin Crew Medical Certificate.
Security Requirements:
- Employment requires a valid medical certificate, approved background check for access cards, completion of a designated course, and adherence to the company's cabin crew requirements.
- All candidates must undergo drug and alcohol testing (blood and urine samples) before the start of the course.
Course Start Date:
Expected course commencement is in the first quarter of 2025.
