Cabin Crew Opportunities at SAS

SAS is expanding its team and invites dedicated professionals to join as Cabin Crew (Air Hosts/Hostesses) and Air Stewards across various Scandinavian bases, including Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Bergen. Successful candidates will become integral members of a team committed to safety, premium service, and creating exceptional travel experiences.

Core Responsibilities

As SAS Cabin Crew, team members ensure the highest standards of onboard safety and service. Air Steward roles may include additional responsibilities related to onboard dining and premium service delivery. All personnel act as representatives of one of Scandinavia’s leading airlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Age: Minimum 18 years (21 years for Norway-based positions).
  • Education: Completed high school or equivalent.
  • Physical Specifications: Height between 160 cm and 190 cm (without shoes).
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a customer-facing role.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Skills: Strong swimming ability.
  • Documentation: Valid EU passport allowing unrestricted global travel.
  • Availability: Capacity to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Compliance: Must meet local residency/commuting requirements and adhere to SAS uniform regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospitality, sales, food and beverage, catering, hotel, or event management is highly advantageous. Prior Cabin Crew experience is beneficial but not required for all positions.

Experienced Cabin Crew candidates must provide:

  • Valid EASA Attestation and Medical certificate.
  • Minimum one year of continuous experience as Senior Cabin Crew within the last five years.

Security, Medical, and Behavioral Standards

Employment is subject to the successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including a 5-year history verification, reference checks, and an exhaustive police record clearance. Candidates must maintain good physical and mental health (including vision of +/- 0.7 with or without correction) to meet EASA medical standards and pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings. All personnel must hold valid airport security clearance.

Recruitment Process

The selection process includes an online assessment, video introduction, Assessment Center, background and security vetting, medical examinations, and formal Cabin Crew training. Upcoming training sessions are scheduled for fall 2026 and spring 2027.
