Role Overview and Responsibilities

The First Officer operates as a crucial member of the flight crew, supporting the Pilot in Command (PIC) in all phases of flight. The successful candidate is expected to maintain the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and operational efficiency, contributing directly to the STAjets commitment to unparalleled passenger service and reliability.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the PIC with comprehensive flight planning, including performance calculations, weather analysis, and navigational documentation.
  • Acting as the Pilot Flying or Pilot Monitoring, ensuring strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Conducting thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and checks.
  • Maintaining professional composure and decisive action during standard, non-standard, and emergency flight operations.
  • Promoting an environment of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the flight department.
