- Stockholm (ARN): Experienced First Officer, Airbus A320 Type Rated
- Oslo (OSL): Experienced First Officer, Embraer 195
- Bergen (BGO): Experienced First Officer, Embraer 195
Minimum Requirements for Experienced First Officer
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- EASA Airline Transport Pilot Licence (A), Commercial Pilot Licence (A), or Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL)
- Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Completed Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or 6
- Unrestricted legal right to live and work within the European Union (EU)
- Clear criminal record
- Completed Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course
- Minimum of 500 flight hours on CS-25 aircraft category
All required licenses and certificates must be valid and up-to-date at the time of application. Please note that non-Scandinavian EASA licenses are acceptable but require conversion prior to course commencement.
Pre-Employment Checks
As a mandatory requirement for employment with SAS, all successful candidates will undergo:
- Background Check
- Personal Security Interview
- Drug and Alcohol Testing
These security interviews and tests will be conducted in the city designated for your base.

Starting Salary for First Officers
Salaries are competitive and structured based on experience and type rating. Please refer to the collective agreement for detailed information. Gross salaries are presented before tax.

SAS Pilot Recruitment Process
Our comprehensive recruitment process is designed to identify the best talent:

- Online Interview: A live interview conducted by a SAS recruiter.
- Online Tests: Cognitive and personality assessments.
