Flight Attendant

Republic Airways is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Flight Attendant to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while adhering to FAA and Inflight guidelines. The Flight Attendant will perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, providing a safe and enjoyable onboard experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and operates emergency equipment, including exits, using necessary movements and force (up to 70 pounds).
  • Provides food and beverage service, requiring pushing and pulling carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Assists passengers with carry-on baggage, lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly cabin environment.
  • Contributes to on-time operations by collaborating with crew members.
  • Performs inflight sales and promotional duties.
  • Assists customer service staff with passenger handling.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and adheres to company policies.
  • Presents a professional image in conduct and appearance, following uniform guidelines.
  • Complies with the associate Rules of Conduct.
  • Maintains current Inflight guides and manuals.
  • Fosters the company’s core values and culture.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Polished interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public.
  • Proficiency in spoken English, including verbal commands during emergencies.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and manage stress.
  • Capability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations.
  • Ability to process information and react positively during unexpected situations.
  • Capability to control emotional responses under high stress.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be 20 years of age by the first interview date.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in aviation.
  • Previous flight attendant experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Willing to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Able to work with animals and around allergens and other products.
  • Compliant with Republic’s Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding tattoos and piercings.
  • Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
  • Ability to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical strength to operate emergency equipment and exits (up to 70 pounds).
  • Ability to lift objects above shoulders (up to 35 pounds).
  • Ability to push and pull carts (over 250 pounds).
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
  • Clear vision at 20 feet (with corrective lenses or contacts).
  • Clear hearing of verbal communications in person and over aircraft communication systems.
  • Ability to move freely and quickly in a confined environment.
  • Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere.
  • Ability to interact professionally with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to accommodate customers’ special needs/disabilities.
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willingness to relocate based on the company’s operational needs.
