Flight Attendant
A dedicated professional is sought to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering strictly to FAA and Inflight guidelines. The Flight Attendant performs regulatory and assigned cabin duties, providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience while maintaining constant attention to guests.
Essential Duties:
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and operates all emergency equipment, including emergency exits, using necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds.
- Provides food and beverage service, involving the pushing and pulling of moveable carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Assists passengers with stowing carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds.
- Maintains a neat and orderly cabin environment.
- Contributes to on-time operations by collaborating with crewmembers to meet report, departure, and turn times.
- Performs inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Assists other Customer Service staff with passenger handling.
- Maintains reliable and prompt attendance.
- Presents a professional image in conduct and appearance, adhering to the company uniform dress code.
- Complies with associate Rules of Conduct.
- Maintains currency of Inflight guides and manuals.
- Fosters the company’s core values and culture.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience required.
- Must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
- Must possess polished interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Ability to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands in emergencies.
- Willingness to work in a time-sensitive environment and handle stress effectively.
- Capability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
- Ability to remain calm, think, and react quickly in emergency situations.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Must be able to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
Other Requirements:
- Adherence to the company's Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding tattoo visibility.
- Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
- Must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to reach and operate emergency equipment and exits using force up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to hear verbal communications clearly.
- Ability to move freely and quickly in a confined aircraft environment.
- Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.
Work Environment:
- Willingness to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and professionally interact with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Ability to accommodate customers’ special needs/disabilities.
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
- Willingness to relocate based on the company’s operational needs.
