Flight Attendant

A highly skilled and dedicated individual is sought to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering strictly to FAA and Inflight guidelines. This role demands consistent attention to passenger needs while providing a secure and pleasant onboard experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with diligence and a focus on passenger well-being.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment, including the operation of emergency exits, requiring the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force.
  • Serve food and beverages to passengers, necessitating the ability to push and pull heavily loaded carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with carry-on baggage, including lifting items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Uphold a neat and orderly cabin environment.
  • Collaborate with crew members to ensure reliable and on-time departures.
  • Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as directed.
  • Support other customer service staff with passenger handling and related tasks.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Present a professional image through conduct and adherence to the company uniform standards.
  • Comply with all associate rules of conduct and maintain up-to-date knowledge of inflight guides and manuals.
  • Promote the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the initial interview.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to serve and handle peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Ability to work with animals and around various allergens and products.
  • Compliance with the company's tattoo policy, which restricts visible tattoos on the head, face, neck, chest, hands, and fingers.
  • A wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to reach and operate necessary equipment.
  • Ability to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
  • No multiple visible piercings while in uniform.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Capability to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
  • Ability to speak and be clearly understood in English, including during emergency situations.
  • Ability to manage stress in a time-sensitive environment and handle unexpected changes.
  • Capacity to interpret diverse instructions in various forms.
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly during emergencies, including medical situations and security threats.
  • Effective decision-making skills to support daily operations.
  • Ability to process information swiftly and act positively under pressure.
  • Capability to control emotional responses under high-stress conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sufficient physical strength to operate emergency equipment, requiring the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force.
  • Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including during turbulence.
  • Capable of stooping, crouching, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
  • Clear vision at 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Clear hearing of verbal communication in person and over aircraft systems.
  • Ability to sit in the assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness properly fastened.
  • Ability to move freely and quickly within the aircraft environment.
  • Ability to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.

Work Environment:

  • Willingness to work in a culturally diverse environment and professionally interact with passengers and crew under stress.
  • Ability to accommodate customer's special needs and disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
