Flight Attendant
Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Flight Attendant. This role is paramount to ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while adhering to FAA and Inflight guidelines. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service, maintain a high level of professionalism, and contribute to a positive and reliable onboard experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, maintaining constant attention to passenger well-being and safety.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of emergency procedures and the operation of all emergency equipment, including emergency exits. This involves the ability to exert necessary force, up to 70 pounds, to operate equipment.
- Serve food and beverages to passengers, requiring the ability to maneuver carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with the stowage of carry-on baggage, which may weigh up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a neat and organized cabin environment.
- Collaborate effectively with crew members to ensure on-time operations and adherence to all schedules.
- Conduct in-flight sales and promotional duties as required.
- Provide support to other customer service staff when needed, including passenger handling.
- Maintain reliable and prompt attendance in accordance with company policies.
- Uphold a professional image through conduct and adherence to the company's uniform guidelines.
- Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in relevant manuals.
- Keep all Inflight guides and manuals current.
- Embody the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the first interview date.
- Polished interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages, peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Compliance with tattoo policy outlined in the company's Flight Attendant Style Guide.
- Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
- Ability to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- No multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public, including verbal commands in emergency situations.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and handle stress.
- Capability to interpret multiple instructions in various formats.
- Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations.
- Capable of making operational decisions with sound judgment.
- Ability to manage personal responses under high stress.
- Physical strength to operate emergency equipment, lift objects up to 35 pounds, and maneuver heavy carts.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
- Vision of 20 feet or more with corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear verbal communications amidst ambient noise.
- Ability to move about the aircraft freely and quickly in confined environment.
- Willingness to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.
- Capacity to interact professionally in a culturally diverse atmosphere and accommodate customer special needs.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
- Ability to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights, and a willingness to relocate as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation setting.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience.
