Flight Attendant
Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the role of Flight Attendant. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while adhering to FAA and Inflight guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, maintaining constant attention to guest needs and providing a safe and comfortable onboard experience.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and the operation of all emergency equipment, including emergency exits, requiring the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force.
- Provides food and beverage service to passengers, involving the maneuvering of carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Assists passengers with the stowage of carry-on baggage, lifting items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintains a neat, orderly, and professional cabin environment.
- Contributes to a reliable and punctual operation through effective teamwork to meet all report, departure, and turnaround times.
- Executes inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Assists other Customer Service personnel as needed with passenger handling and related duties.
- Maintains dependable and timely attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Presents a professional image in conduct and appearance, including strict adherence to the company uniform dress code.
- Complies with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals.
- Maintains currency of all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Promotes the company's core values and culture within the work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be 20 years of age or older by the date of the initial interview.
- Polished interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle food items containing peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around various allergens and products.
- Tattoos must adhere to the company’s style guide; visible tattoos are limited in size and placement.
- Must possess a wingspan of at least 55 inches to safely reach and operate all necessary equipment.
- Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
- Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Proficient in spoken English, including the ability to issue clear verbal commands during emergency situations.
- Capacity to work in a time-sensitive environment, effectively handle stress, meet deadlines, and manage unexpected changes.
- Capable of interpreting various instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
- Ability to remain calm, think, and react quickly in all types of emergency situations.
- Ability to make structured, day-to-day operational decisions and react positively in unexpected situations.
- Capacity to control personal and emotional responses under high stress.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical strength to operate all emergency equipment and exits, requiring up to 70 pounds of force.
- Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull moveable carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Capable of walking and standing for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems.
- Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
- Must be able to move about the aircraft and perform required functions quickly in a confined space.
- Ability to work extended duty periods on sequential days.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and interact professionally with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Capacity to accommodate customers’ special needs/disabilities.
- Willingness and availability to work extended periods and varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willingness to relocate based on the company's operational requirements.
