Flight Attendant
A dedicated Flight Attendant is sought to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, adhering strictly to FAA and Inflight guidelines. This role demands a commitment to providing a secure and pleasant onboard experience while executing all regulatory and assigned cabin duties.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and the operation of all emergency equipment, including emergency exits, requiring the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force.
- Provide efficient and courteous food and beverage service, which involves the ability to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage, including lifting items up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a tidy and organized cabin environment.
- Contribute to on-time departures by collaborating with crew members.
- Perform assigned inflight sales and promotional tasks.
- Assist customer service personnel with passenger handling and other duties as needed.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with company policies.
- Present a professional image through conduct and adherence to the company uniform policy.
- Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in relevant manuals.
- Ensure all Inflight guides and manuals are current.
- Promote the company’s core values within the work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, coupled with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the initial interview.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-centric approach.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages and handle meals containing peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around various allergens.
- Must adhere to the company’s dress code, which includes restrictions on visible tattoos and piercings.
- A wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater is required.
- Must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with the seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to clearly communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public, including verbal commands during emergencies.
- Capacity to work under time constraints and handle stress, while managing unexpected changes.
- Ability to remain calm and react quickly in various emergency situations.
- Effective decision-making skills, particularly during unexpected circumstances.
- Demonstrated ability to control emotional responses during high-stress situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical capability to reach and operate emergency equipment, requiring the exertion of force up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to lift objects up to 35 pounds overhead.
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including during turbulence.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to hear verbal communications, both in person and over aircraft communication systems.
- Ability to sit in the assigned jump seat with seatbelt and harness fastened.
- Ability to move effectively and rapidly within a confined aircraft space.
- Ability to work extended duty periods over sequential days.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a diverse environment, interacting professionally with passengers and crew, even under pressure.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and overnight trips.
Travel Requirements:
Travel required up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight trips. Willingness to relocate based on the company’s needs.
