Position Overview:

The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, adhering strictly to FAA and Inflight guidelines. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, proactive safety measures, and outstanding customer service skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with constant attention to passengers, providing a safe and pleasant onboard experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and equipment, including the ability to operate emergency exits and aircraft equipment, requiring movements and force up to 70 pounds.
  • Serve food and beverages to passengers, involving the maneuvering of carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage, weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional cabin environment.
  • Contribute to reliable and on-time operations by collaborating with crewmembers to meet all report, departure, and minimum turn times.
  • Execute inflight sales and promotional activities as directed.
  • Provide support to other customer service staff with passenger handling and other duties as needed.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance in accordance with company policies.
  • Present a polished, professional image in both conduct and appearance, adhering strictly to the company uniform dress code.
  • Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals.
  • Maintain current Inflight guides and manuals.
  • Uphold the company's core values and culture within the work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the initial interview.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef and pork.
  • Ability to work around animals, allergens, and various products.
  • Adherence to company policy regarding tattoos (specific areas restricted and size limitations apply).
  • A wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater is required to reach and operate necessary aircraft equipment.
  • Must be able to occupy the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
  • No multiple visible piercings while in uniform.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
  • Must speak and understand English, including spoken commands during emergency situations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment while managing stress from deadlines and unexpected changes.
  • Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergency situations such as medical events, aircraft decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills to support operations, especially during unexpected or serious circumstances, and able to control personal emotional responses under stress.
  • Must possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits, using necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds.
  • Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds, and maneuvering carts exceeding 250 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, occasionally experiencing aircraft turbulence.
  • Capable of stooping, crouching, squatting, climbing and kneeling.
  • Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
  • Ability to hear verbal communications both in-person and over aircraft communication systems with ambient noise.
  • Must be able to sit in assigned jump seat without modifications.
  • Able to move freely, effectively and quickly within the confined aircraft environment.
  • Must be able to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and professionally interact with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to accommodate customers’ special needs/disabilities.
  • Willing and able to work a varied schedule including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional years of customer service experience, particularly within an aviation environment.
  • Previous experience as a Flight Attendant.

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs.
