Flight Attendant
Aviation professionals are sought to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines. This role requires a dedicated individual who can consistently deliver an exceptional onboard experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with meticulous attention to passenger well-being, maintaining a secure and comfortable environment.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment, operating exits and equipment effectively, which may require forces up to 70 pounds.
- Serve food and beverages to passengers, requiring the ability to push and pull carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on luggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain the cabin in a neat and organized manner.
- Contribute to on-time operations through effective teamwork and adherence to all scheduling requirements.
- Conduct inflight sales and promotional activities as assigned.
- Provide support to customer service staff as needed.
- Maintain a reliable and punctual attendance record in compliance with company policy.
- Uphold a professional image through conduct and appearance, adhering to the company uniform dress code.
- Comply with all outlined associate Rules of Conduct.
- Maintain updated Inflight guides and manuals.
- Promote and embody the company’s core values and culture.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, with a positive and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Willingness to handle and serve meals containing various items including peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Ability to work around animals, allergens and other products.
- Adherence to the company's Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding visible tattoos, and piercings.
- Must possess a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
- Must be able to sit in the flight attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Proficiency in English, including the ability to understand and give shouted verbal commands in emergency situations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and regulatory documents.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Must be capable of handling time-sensitive situations, stress, and unexpected changes, while maintaining composure.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and act on instructions, whether written, oral, or diagrammatic.
- Ability to think and react quickly in emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional customer service experience, ideally within the aviation sector.
- Previous experience as a Flight Attendant.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate emergency equipment and exits, using force up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds overhead.
- Ability to push and pull carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, sometimes during turbulence.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to clearly hear and understand verbal communications amid airplane noise.
- Ability to move freely and perform all functions within the confined aircraft environment.
- Ability to work extended duty periods, possibly on sequential days.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to professionally interact with a diverse range of passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Ability to accommodate customer's special needs and disabilities.
- Willingness to work varied schedules including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Must be willing to relocate based on operational needs.
