Flight Attendant
Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Flight Attendant. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, while strictly adhering to FAA and Inflight guidelines. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing a secure and pleasant onboard experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with unwavering attention to passenger needs, thereby fostering a safe and comfortable environment.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and adeptly operate emergency equipment, including emergency exits, using necessary movements and force (up to 70 pounds).
- Serve passengers with food and beverages, involving the handling of carts weighing over 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with carry-on baggage, lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a pristine and organized cabin environment.
- Contribute to a dependable and punctual operation by collaborating with fellow crew members to meet all scheduled times.
- Execute inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Provide support to other customer service staff in passenger handling and other duties.
- Maintain reliable and prompt attendance in accordance with company policies.
- Project a professional image, adhering to the company's uniform dress code and conduct standards.
- Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in company manuals.
- Keep Inflight guides and manuals current.
- Promote the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-centric attitude.
- Willingness to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to handle and serve peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Capacity to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Compliance with the company's Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding tattoo visibility and body piercings while in uniform.
- Wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
- Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and regulations.
- Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to inquiries from management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Fluency in English, including the ability to articulate commands during emergency scenarios.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment while effectively managing stress.
- Capacity to interpret a variety of instructions in multiple formats.
- Ability to remain composed and react quickly in all types of emergency situations.
- Capable of making sound operational decisions and reacting positively during unexpected circumstances.
- Ability to control emotional responses and act appropriately under high levels of stress.
- Physical strength to operate emergency equipment (up to 70 pounds).
- Capacity to lift objects up to 35 pounds above shoulders.
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes in turbulent conditions.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more (with corrective lenses or contacts).
- Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over aircraft communication systems.
- Ability to move freely within the aircraft and perform all functions efficiently.
- Availability for extended duty periods on sequential days.
- Willingness to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact professionally with passengers and crew.
- Ability to accommodate customers’ special needs/disabilities.
- Availability for varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional years of customer service experience, especially within an aviation environment.
- Prior Flight Attendant experience.
Additional Information:
This position requires travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Relocation may be necessary based on operational requirements.
