Flight Attendant

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering to all FAA and Inflight guidelines. The Flight Attendant will perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with a focus on providing a safe and pleasant onboard experience for guests.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute all assigned cabin duties, maintaining constant attention to passenger needs while prioritizing safety and comfort.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all emergency procedures and equipment, including the operation of emergency exits and aircraft equipment, requiring physical strength to manage equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Serve food and beverages to passengers, which involves pushing and pulling carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage, with weights up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized cabin environment.
  • Contribute to on-time departures by working effectively with crew members to meet all schedules.
  • Conduct inflight sales and promotional activities as directed.
  • Support other customer service staff with passenger handling and related duties.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance, adhering to company policies.
  • Represent a professional image in conduct and appearance, complying with the company uniform standards.
  • Adhere to associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in company manuals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Inflight guides and manuals.
  • Promote the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 20 years old by the date of the initial interview.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from management, crew, passengers, and the public.
  • Proficient in speaking and understanding English, including shouted commands during emergencies.
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and handle stress related to deadlines and unexpected changes.
  • Capable of interpreting diverse instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to remain calm and react quickly during all emergency situations.
  • Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Must be able and willing to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Ability to work with animals and around other allergens.
  • Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
  • Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
  • Must not have multiple visible piercings while in uniform.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional customer service experience, preferably in aviation.
  • Prior Flight Attendant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical strength to operate all emergency equipment and exits, including exertion of force up to 70 pounds.
  • Capability to lift objects up to 35 pounds above shoulders.
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, possibly during turbulence.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb and kneel.
  • Vision clarity at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses.
  • Ability to clearly hear verbal communications, both in person and through aircraft communication systems.
  • Ability to move freely and quickly within confined aircraft environments.
  • Capable of working extended duty periods on sequential days.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to professionally interact with passengers and crew in a diverse atmosphere and stressful conditions.
  • Ability to accommodate customers’ special needs and disabilities.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
  • Willingness to relocate based on the company's operational needs.
