Flight Attendant
Republic Airways is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Flight Attendant. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while adhering to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Inflight guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with unwavering attention to passenger well-being, prioritizing a secure and comfortable onboard experience.
- Emergency Preparedness: Possess comprehensive knowledge of all emergency procedures and the operation of all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft. Demonstrate proficiency in operating all emergency exits and aircraft equipment, including the ability to apply necessary force up to 70 pounds.
- Passenger Service: Provide attentive service to passengers, including serving food and beverages. This role requires the ability to push and pull moveable carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Onboard Assistance: Assist passengers in stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Cabin Maintenance: Maintain a neat and orderly cabin environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other crew members to ensure timely and efficient operations, adhering to all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.
- Sales & Promotion: Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as assigned.
- Customer Service: Assist other Customer Service staff as needed with passenger handling or other duties.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, including adherence to the Company uniform dress code.
- Compliance: Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals.
- Knowledge & Training: Remain current on all Inflight guides and manuals.
- Culture: Promote and embody the Company's core values and culture within the work environment.
- Adaptability: Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED, coupled with a minimum of two years of customer service experience.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional Customer Service: Prior experience in customer service, preferably within an aviation environment.
- Flight Attendant Experience: Previous experience as a Flight Attendant is highly valued.
Other Essential Requirements:
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, displaying a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Service Standards: Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Dietary Accomodations: Must be able to serve and handle peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
- Allergen Awareness: Able to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Tattoos: Pursuant to Republic's Flight Attendant Style Guide (Dress Code), tattoos are not permitted on the head, face, neck (including behind the ear), chest, hands, or fingers. Visible tattoos are permitted on the arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2 inches x 3.25 inches; otherwise, they must be fully covered by an approved tattoo coverage method.
- Physical Requirements: Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to reach and safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft. For safety reasons, must have the ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without extender or other modification that may harm the integrity of the harness. The lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened, and the shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened.
- Piercings: Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
Language Skills:
- Communication: Demonstrate the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations. Effectively present information to and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- Verbal Communication: Able to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning & Problem Solving:
- Stress Management: Must be willing to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively handle stress associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected change.
- Instruction Interpretation: Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Emergency Response: Demonstrate the ability to remain calm, think, and react quickly in all types of emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence, etc.

- Operational Support: Make day-to-day decisions to support operational needs.
- Structured Decision-Making: Decisions often require thought and are somewhat structured.
- Quick Response: Able to process information quickly and react in a positive manner during unexpected and/or serious situations.

Physical Demands:
- Strength & Mobility: Possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits using necessary movements and force up to and including 70 pounds. Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to and including 35 pounds. Able to push and pull moveable carts weighing in excess of 250 pounds.
- Endurance: Able to walk and stand for extended periods, sometimes with aircraft turbulence. Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Senses: Able to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts. Able to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems with ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Jump Seat: Must be able to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any modifications.
- Confined Spaces: Must be able to move about the aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively, and quickly in a confined environment.
- Work Schedule: Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

Travel Requirements:
- Extensive Travel: Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays. Willing to relocate based on the Company's operational needs.
