Flight Attendant - Republic Airways
Job Overview:
Republic Airways is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Flight Attendant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while upholding the highest standards of professional service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety and Service: Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with unwavering attention to passengers, fostering a secure and comfortable onboard experience.
- Emergency Preparedness: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all emergency procedures and the use of all emergency equipment on board. Operate all emergency exits and aircraft equipment, demonstrating proficiency in utilizing necessary force up to 70 pounds.
- Passenger Care: Provide passengers with attentive service, including meal and beverage service, while demonstrating physical capabilities such as pushing and pulling carts exceeding 250 pounds and assisting passengers with stowing carry-on baggage up to 35 pounds.
- Cabin Maintenance: Maintain a neat and orderly cabin environment, ensuring a pleasant experience for all passengers.
- Teamwork: Contribute to the airline's operational efficiency by working collaboratively with other crew members to meet all report times, departure times, and minimum turn times.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform assigned inflight sales and promotional duties. Assist other Customer Service staff as needed with passenger handling or other tasks. Maintain reliable and punctual attendance according to Company policies and procedures.
- Professionalism: Present a polished professional image in conduct and appearance, adhering to the Company's uniform dress code. Comply with associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in all applicable manuals. Maintain currency of Inflight guides and manuals.
- Core Values: Promote Republic Airways' core values and culture throughout the work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of customer service experience. Must be 20 years of age by the date of the first interview.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional years of customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment. Previous Flight Attendant experience is highly valued.
Other Requirements:
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess polished interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Service Standards: Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages, as well as food items containing peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork. Able to work with animals and around other allergens and products.
- Appearance: Pursuant to Republic's Flight Attendant Style Guide, tattoos are NOT permitted on the head, face, neck, chest, hands, or fingers. Visible tattoos are permitted on the arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2" x 3.25", otherwise, they must be fully covered by a listed, approved tattoo coverage method.
- Physical Requirements: Possess a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to reach and safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft. Must have the ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without an extender or other modification that may compromise the harness integrity (Lap belt measurement: 50 inches when fastened; Shoulder harness measurement: 40 inches when fastened). Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.

- Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations. Effectively present information and respond to questions from management, crew, passengers, and the general public.
- English Proficiency: Able to speak and be understood in English, including shouted verbal commands during emergency situations.
Reasoning and Problem-Solving:
- Time Management: Willingness to work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively handle stress associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected change.
- Instruction Interpretation: Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Emergency Response: Ability to remain calm, think, and react quickly in all types of emergency situations including but not limited to: medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, emergency evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, turbulence, etc.

- Operational Decisions: Make day-to-day decisions to support the operation, often requiring thoughtful analysis and applying structured processes.
- Situational Awareness: Ability to process information quickly and react positively during unexpected and/or serious situations.
- Emotional Control: Maintain composure and act appropriately under high levels of stress, controlling personal and emotional responses.
Physical Demands:
- Strength and Mobility: Possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits, utilizing necessary movements and force up to 70 pounds. Capable of lifting objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds. Able to push and pull moveable carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Endurance: Able to walk and stand for extended periods, potentially with aircraft turbulence. Must be able to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Sensory Capabilities: Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts. Ability to clearly hear verbal communications in person and over airplane communication systems amidst ambient aircraft and passenger noise.
- Jump Seat Proficiency: Must be able to sit in assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modifications.
- Movement and Agility: Ability to move freely, effectively, and quickly in confined aircraft environments while performing all required functions.
- Schedule Flexibility: Able to work extended duty periods on sequential days.
Work Environment:
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability and willingness to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere and interact professionally with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Customer Accommodation: Capability to accommodate customers' special needs and disabilities.
- Schedule Variances: Willingness and ability to work extended periods of time on a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
Travel Requirements:
Travel up to 100% of the time, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Willingness to relocate based on the Company's operational needs.
