George J. Priester Aviation, a premier provider of private aviation services, seeks a highly qualified First Officer to join its esteemed team in Melbourne, Florida. This position, offering a competitive annual salary of $150,000, is based in a two-pilot flight department operating a Falcon 2000EX and flying approximately 200-400 hours per year.

The First Officer, serving as Second in Command (SIC), will support the Pilot in Command (PIC) in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, adhering to company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and industry best practices. The individual will monitor aircraft systems, communicate with flight services, and contribute to a seamless passenger experience, exhibiting exceptional professionalism, safety awareness, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the PIC in all aspects of flight planning and execution, including weather analysis, routing, and pre-flight inspections, ensuring compliance with all regulations and procedures.
  • Monitor aircraft instrumentation and systems during all phases of flight, operating navigational and communication radios as directed, and securing necessary clearances.
  • Maintain effective crew coordination and communication, providing feedback to the PIC to promote safe operations and actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Assist with pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft readiness, and with post-flight procedures and documentation.
  • Be prepared to take control of the aircraft to prevent hazards in case of PIC inattention or incapacitation. Participate in safety audits, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1500-2500 total flight hours, with at least 100 hours in multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft. Turbine experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine instrument rating or higher.
  • A current First-Class Medical Certificate is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in FAA regulations and flight operations procedures, along with strong communication and decision-making skills, and proficiency in Crew Resource Management (CRM) and flight management systems.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull over 50 pounds when handling baggage and equipment.
  • Must hold a valid passport and be available for extended travel periods based on the flight schedule.

This is an exempt position requiring flexibility to meet business needs.
