PlaneSense is seeking a PC12 First Officer to serve as Second-In-Command of the aircraft, assisting the Captain in all flight operations. This role requires adaptability to a dynamic flight schedule and a comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations, company policies, and specific aircraft systems. The position is based in an active flight environment requiring extensive knowledge of aviation weather and IFR/VFR operations.
The First Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations. Responsibilities include assisting the Captain with weather and NOTAM reviews, validating flight operations center information, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies, conducting preflight aircraft inspections, maintaining aircraft charts and navigation databases, obtaining IFR clearances, handling passenger luggage, and providing exceptional customer service to passengers.
Candidates with experience in corporate or charter operations (Part 135 or Part 91 Subpart K), familiarity with technically advanced aircraft (TAA), and turbine aircraft time, particularly in the PC-12, are highly desirable. A Bachelor's degree and a demonstrated history of leadership roles in aviation, such as Safety Officer, Lead Flight Instructor, or Chief Pilot, are also considered advantageous. Military-trained pilots, especially those with tactical or mission-oriented backgrounds, are encouraged to apply.
