Flight Attendant
This individual is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of guests onboard the aircraft while delivering exceptional service. They will provide comprehensive briefings to guests before, during, and after flights. This professional will assist guests by addressing their inquiries and assisting with carry-on items, which may involve overhead lifting. They will market, sell, and serve snacks and beverages to guests. The Flight Attendant will inspect emergency equipment and remain vigilant for potential hazards in the cabin. They will demonstrate the proper use of emergency equipment as needed.
In emergency situations, this individual provides leadership, direction, and support, including aircraft evacuation, administering first aid to ill or incapacitated guests, and managing incidents such as turbulence and flight delays. They will maintain strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required. Responsibilities and duties are subject to change based on circumstances, such as emergencies, workload fluctuations, urgent tasks, or technical advancements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in guest service, hospitality, and/or sales/merchandising is essential.
- Successful completion of a four-week initial Flight Attendant training program is mandatory.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum height of 5'0" (without shoes).
- Ability to lift 50lbs from floor to above shoulder level and reach aircraft overhead bins and storage areas.
- Must comply with company's no visible tattoo policy.
- Must adhere to company's piercing policy (Flight Attendants are permitted two matching earrings in the earlobe only; no other visible piercings, earlobe gauges, or cuffs are allowed).
- Ability to fasten a four-point jump seat harness without the use of extension devices.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least six (6) months of validity, enabling travel in and out of the USA and to all cities/countries served by the company.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be dependable, energetic, outgoing, a team player, and demonstrate leadership qualities and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days and holidays.
- Ability to work in close proximity to service animals and all snack items, including but not limited to peanuts.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be proficient in the English language; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Must maintain a polished, professional, and conservative appearance at all times.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
