Dash 8 Captain
Perimeter Aviation LP is seeking a qualified Dash 8 Captain to join its team. Since 1960, Perimeter Aviation has been connecting communities and fostering a culture of safety, service, and teamwork. As a subsidiary of Exchange Income Corporation, the company has expanded to over 750 employees and operates a fleet of 40+ aircraft. Operations span Manitoba and Ontario, with key hubs in Winnipeg, Thompson, Sioux Lookout, Timmins, Thunder Bay, and Toronto.
The Dash 8 Captain will report to the Assistant Chief Pilot and is responsible for transporting passengers while prioritizing safety, passenger comfort, and on-time performance. This position is available in Thompson, MB, Timmins, ON, Toronto, ON, and Winnipeg, MB.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Conduct flights in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual.
- Check weather, applicable NOTAMs, and determine fuel and oil requirements.
- Calculate aircraft weight and balance.
- Review, amend, and accept the Operational Flight Plan (Type B 705 operation).
- Complete pre-flight inspections before each departure.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo/freight as required.
- Complete flight watch jointly with the flight dispatcher (Type B 705 operation).
- Complete all post-flight duties, including notification/confirmation to the Company of the whereabouts of the airplane when away from base, recording flight times, and reporting any defects.
- Meet and exceed Transport Canada qualification standards for a Pilot.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations.
- Category 1 Medical.
- Current Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with 500 hours on DHC-8.
- Previous airline experience is considered an asset.
- Pilots must be fluent in English, and be able to demonstrate effective verbal and listening comprehension.
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties.
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required.
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periods.
