About the Role:
PHI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced helicopter Captain to join its Oil & Gas operations team in Lafayette, Louisiana. This individual will operate PHI's helicopters under the appropriate FAA regulations, PHI's Operations Manual, and Policy Manual to ensure safe and efficient flights for valued customers. As Pilot in Command (PIC), this role demands the highest levels of professionalism, aviation expertise, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned aircraft safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate flight documentation.
- Provide customers with a safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable experience, including comprehensive safety briefings, clear communication on procedures, and emphasizing the paramount importance of safety around helicopters.
- Ensure personal airman and medical certificates remain current, providing Lafayette Operations with updated copies.
- Maintain a meticulous personal logbook or recency of experience log to demonstrate recent flight experience and compliance with FAR Part 135 qualifications.
- Communicate proactively with the Lead Pilot/Operations Manager regarding aircraft operational status and ensure airworthiness before, during, and after flights.
- Serve as a professional representative of PHI, maintaining a neat appearance and demonstrating courtesy to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Diligently complete all assigned duties and tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
- Meticulously document all aircraft mechanical malfunctions in the aircraft engineering logbook.
Qualifications:
- 1500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with an instrument rating.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Current FAA Class I Medical Certificate.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
This role requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds. It also involves exposure to outside weather conditions, vibration, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
