Ornge | Pilatus PC12 SET First Officer

Ornge is seeking a highly motivated and professional PC12 EMS First Officer to join its Aviation team. This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $73,300 - $94,746.42 per year, as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (OPEIU), supplemented by a comprehensive total rewards package. Reference #: 2024-112.

This role is based at various Ontario locations, including Sioux Lookout, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, and Timmins. The First Officer is responsible for all aspects of aircraft operation, ensuring crew and passenger safety. The position requires the ability to perform under pressure, adapt to changing conditions, and adhere to all applicable policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Ornge aircraft are province-wide resources, and flight support may be required at bases other than the home base. All pilots must complete the company training program and pass a Transport Canada PPC/IFT check.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Pilot License issued by Transport Canada.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience.
  • Group 1 or 3 IFR rating.
  • Valid Category 1 Medical.
  • Valid Canadian Passport or ability to work in Canada and unrestricted ability to travel to the USA.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command time.
  • Satisfactory criminal record search and immunization records with required vaccinations are mandatory.

Hours and Location of Work:

  • Pilots work various shifts (standard 12-hour), including day, night, and weekend shifts in a 24/7 environment. Overtime may be required. Overnight stays away from the home base are occasionally necessary.
  • Successful candidates must live or be willing to relocate within close proximity to the assigned base location, adhering to CARs rest requirements between shifts and able to arrive at the base within 1 hour of callout for on-call shifts.
  • Employees may be required to use respiratory protection and must maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure an effective facial seal.
