Essential Job Duties:

  • Promote the Occidental safety culture while providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of assigned flights as a qualified crewmember.
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with all pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual and Certificate of Airworthiness requirements, Company policies and procedures, and standard aviation good operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate practical and applicable knowledge of the assigned aircraft systems and limitations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance to determine maintenance status of assigned aircraft.
  • Coordinates security requirements as required.
  • Coordinates (with the Flight Technician, if applicable) aircraft servicing at intermediate stops.
  • Demonstrates an advanced working knowledge and actively participates in the flight department’s Safety Management System.
  • Participates in Occidental’s Performance Management System by establishing annual individual performance goals and personal development goals.
  • Participates in department projects and ancillary duties assigned by the Department Manager and/or Chief Pilot.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment to promote inclusion.
  • Follow and uphold the core values of Occidental.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to Houston, Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ corporate aviation experience.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot License with a company specific type rating (G550 or G280).
  • Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • English proficient.
  • Restricted FCC Radio Telephone Operators Permit.
  • Valid automobile driver’s license.
  • Valid passport with no restrictions.
  • Minimum 5,000 hours total Flight Time.
  • Minimum 50 hours in aircraft type required to act as Pilot in Command.
  • International experience is desired.

Relocation can be offered with this role.
