Executive Jet Management is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position operating a Learjet 45XR. This role is based in Nashville, TN, and is part of a 3-pilot account, anticipating approximately 400-450 flight hours per year under EJM's Part 135 certificate. This opportunity is open to home-based candidates who possess reasonable commute options to the aircraft's base.

The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC is expected to adhere strictly to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the safe operation of each flight, including verifying crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
  • Leads required briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
  • Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates necessary activities with company personnel. Acts as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
  • Performs all required aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the aircraft's maintenance status to confirm mission capability. Records any aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Monitors and oversees the accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, in adherence to SOPs.
  • Conducts thorough passenger briefings aligned with company policy and regulations. Delivers the highest standard of customer service, attending to any special needs passengers may have.
  • Effectively utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to ensure clear and timely communication with fellow crew members and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
  • Delivers an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities for enhancement and resolving service deviations.
  • Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to maintain a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
  • Maintains all required regulatory and company training and ensures recency of experience is current.
  • Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through established channels.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Part 135 flying operations is essential.
  • An FAA Type Rating for the Learjet 45XR is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates must be capable of performing all essential functions of the position.
  • Meeting the following minimum flight time requirements is mandatory:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
