Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G650
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a distinguished subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G650 aircraft, based in Stuart, Florida (KSUA). Role Overview
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role requires adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience to our valued clients. This is a two-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician flying under Part 91 regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifies that all crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Completes thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each assignment.
- Employs the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively lead required briefings and mitigate potential operational risks.
- Strictly adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates effectively with company personnel. Acts as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Conducts comprehensive aircraft pre-flight checks, including verification of maintenance status, to confirm mission readiness. Records any aircraft discrepancies per established SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures all aircraft ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed according to SOPs.
- Delivers thorough passenger briefings, following company policy and regulations. Provides exceptional customer service and addresses any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the overall EJM experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations efficiently.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery to all owners and passengers. Manages conflict and challenges constructively.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all required regulatory and company training and experience recency.
- Adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety concerns or non-compliance through appropriate channels.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 4-6 years of aviation experience
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation highly preferred
- FAA Type Rating for the Gulfstream G650
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
