G550 Pilot - Chicago, IL
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified and experienced pilot for a G550 aircraft based at PWK airport in Chicago, IL. EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, providing unrivaled resources and operational stability within the largest private aviation infrastructure. The company's core principles of safety, service, and integrity are delivered daily for its customers and employees.
This is a two-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 and internal Part 135 regulations to domestic and international destinations. The crew collaborates closely to coordinate a monthly schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe operation of flight, including compliance with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure mission capability.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
- Completing passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and meeting any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges constructively.
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- First Class Medical Certificate.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of aviation experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Preference given to local pilots with Gulfstream experience.
Base Salary Range:
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin: $160,000 - $425,000
