Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550 - Henderson, NV
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Henderson, Nevada (HND). EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, known for its commitment to safety, service, and integrity.
This is a 2-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and a Cabin Attendant, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The well-established account flies approximately 300 hours annually to destinations spanning from the East to West coast, Hawaii, Central America, and Europe. Experience in international operations is strongly preferred, given this mission profile.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft operates in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure mission readiness. Records all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished per SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Delivers the highest level of customer service, catering to any special needs of passengers.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides superior service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Proactively investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolves conflict and challenges constructively.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and currency.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate aviation and Part 135 operations is required.
- Prior experience with Atlantic crossings is strongly preferred.
- FAA Type rating in G550/V/450 series is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
The base salary range for this Large/Heavy/Premium cabin-class position is $160,000 - $300,000.
