Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leader in private aviation since 1977, seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Henderson, NV (HND). As a subsidiary of NetJets, EJM offers unparalleled resources and operational stability within the world's largest private aviation infrastructure. The PIC assumes final responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional service. This is a two-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The well-established account operates approximately 300 hours annually, with destinations spanning the East and West coasts, Hawaii, Central America, and Europe. Extensive experience in international operations is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safe operation of each flight, verifying crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory mandates.
- Completes thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology for effective briefings to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintains seamless coordination with company personnel. Serves as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as required by company policy.
- Conducts comprehensive pre-flight aircraft checks, including maintenance status verification, to ensure mission capability, and accurately records all discrepancies.
- Oversees all ground servicing activities (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with established SOPs.
- Delivers detailed passenger briefings per company policy, providing outstanding customer service and addressing any special needs.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during standard, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance their experience.
- Collaborates effectively with crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent and exceptional service delivery.
- Maintains required regulatory and company training and currency requirements.
- Actively participates in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate aviation and Part 135 operations is required.
- Prior experience with Atlantic Crossings is strongly preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the G550/V/450 series is strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $300,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
