Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leader in aircraft management and global jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 450 (G450) based in Houston, TX (KCXO). This position operates under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations, within a two-pilot crew supported by a Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, delivering an exceptional service experience for all passengers. The aircraft, impeccably maintained, is projected to fly approximately 300 hours annually, with an estimated 200 hours dedicated to retail charter operations. Frequent destinations include Los Angeles, Miami, Salt Lake City, and various international locations such as Nassau.
Safe Operation of Flight: The PIC will ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements, including crewing and trip assignments. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive flight planning (performance, weight and balance), utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks. Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordination with company personnel, and acting as the Grounds and In-Flight Security Coordinator (as defined by company policy) are paramount. The PIC will conduct thorough pre-flight checks, documenting any discrepancies per SOPs, and ensuring all ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) adheres to established protocols. The PIC will deliver passenger briefings as per policy and regulations, providing the highest level of customer service, including accommodations for passengers with special needs. Proficient utilization of Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) is crucial for effective communication during all operational phases.
Exceptional Service Experience: The PIC will provide superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying and resolving service deviations. Collaboration with crew members and internal EJM partners is essential to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience, including effective conflict resolution.
Proficiency and Compliance: Maintaining current regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience is mandatory. The PIC will fully comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, promptly reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through appropriate channels.
