Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 450

Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 450 (G450) based in Houston, TX (KCXO). This position supports a two-pilot operation with a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under both Part 91 and 135 regulations. The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all flight operations adhere to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
  • Leads pre-flight briefings utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
  • Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates with necessary personnel.
  • Acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as per company policy.
  • Completes comprehensive pre-flight checks, including maintenance status, and accurately records any discrepancies.
  • Monitors and ensures completion of all aircraft ground servicing requirements (fueling, oil, oxygen).
  • Conducts thorough passenger briefings and provides exceptional customer service, addressing any special needs.
  • Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
  • Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience.
  • Collaborates effectively with crew and internal partners to deliver a seamless and consistent service experience.
  • Maintains required training and currency standards.
  • Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety or non-compliance issues.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Corporate/business aviation experience is preferred.
  • Gulfstream (GV/450/550) type rating is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
    • Total flight time: 3500 hours
    • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours

EJM is excited to have this impeccably maintained Gulfstream 450 join its fleet. The aircraft is estimated to fly 300 hours annually, with approximately 200 hours dedicated to retail charter. Common destinations include Los Angeles, Miami, Salt Lake City, and international locations like Nassau.
