Position Summary
Executive Jet Management is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) to operate an Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft. This position is part of a multiple pilot rotation, supported by a dedicated Cabin Attendant, operating under FAA Part 135 regulations. While the aircraft is based in Miami, FL, this is a homebased position offering crew members the flexibility to commute to the aircraft. Preference will be given to candidates holding an EMB 145 type rating and those residing near major airports providing diverse flight options.
The PIC will support an aircraft owner with frequent destinations including New York, Miami, Teterboro, Aspen, and Scottsdale, in addition to international operations to the Caribbean and Canada. The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering strictly to all company policies and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology for required briefings and operational risk mitigation.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying maintenance status to ensure mission capability, and records aircraft discrepancies per SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures completion of aircraft ground servicing (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings according to company policy and regulation, providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating special needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to maintain a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts constructively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns via appropriate channels.
Required Certifications and Licenses
FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
Required Experience
4-6 years of aviation experience.
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- FAA Type rating in the Embraer Legacy (EMB 145) is required.
- Must be capable of performing all essential functions of the position.
