Legacy 600 EMB-145 Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) to join their esteemed team. This opportunity is based in Miami, FL (KOPF) and involves operating a Legacy 600 EMB-145 aircraft within a multi-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Advisor and Flight Attendant, under Part 135 regulations.
Position Overview
The PIC bears the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This encompasses strict adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional and seamless service experience for our valued clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Safety and Operational Excellence:
- Meticulously verify that all crewing and trip assignments adhere to company and regulatory standards.
- Diligently complete all required flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Proactively employ the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead pre-flight briefings and effectively mitigate potential operational risks.
- Maintain unwavering compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and seamlessly coordinate with all relevant company personnel. Assume the roles of Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Thoroughly perform pre-flight inspections, including a comprehensive review of the aircraft's maintenance status, to guarantee mission readiness. Diligently document any aircraft discrepancies following established SOPs.
- Ensure all ground servicing tasks (fueling, oil, oxygen) are meticulously monitored and executed according to SOPs.
- Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings aligned with company policy and regulatory requirements, ensuring the highest level of customer service and attentively addressing any special needs of passengers.
- Effectively utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel across normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Exceptional Client Experience:
- Consistently provide top-tier service to aircraft owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience. Promptly investigate and resolve any service deviations.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to deliver a consistently exceptional experience for owners and passengers. Skillfully and professionally navigate any conflict resolution scenarios.
- Professionalism and Compliance:
- Maintain all required regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience.
- Remain fully compliant with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly report any safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- Licenses and Ratings:
- FAA Type rating for applicable fleet (Legacy 600 EMB-145).
- Ability to successfully perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3,500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
