Position Overview
The Pilot (First Officer) is entrusted with delivering a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot not only ensures technically precise and secure transportation but also cultivates an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role demands versatility, encompassing the responsibilities of a professional aviator and an in-flight service provider, culminating in a concierge-level experience. The Pilot maintains ultimate command of the aircraft at all times, upholding a consistently professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft, including taxi, takeoff, and landing, in strict accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Engages with Owners/passengers pre-flight, conducting introductions, providing detailed flight briefs, verifying itineraries, and offering weather updates and safety briefings, while clearly communicating any itinerary adjustments.
- Provides in-flight service as required, including the responsible handling and service of alcoholic beverages and catering.
- Manages the loading and secure stowage of all baggage on board the aircraft.
- Proficiently handles and conducts flights for Owners who travel with pets and those who smoke.
- Serves as the ultimate authority on the aircraft concerning all operational matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Acts as a primary liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) until their safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the designated Aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Completes all required documentation pertaining to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Undertakes other duties as assigned based on specific assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Possession of an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating, adhering to FAR 61.160 standards.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time experience, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (greater than 50 nautical miles).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with a minimum of 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- Completion of the ATP written exam prior to the commencement of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine flight time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport with the authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction.
- Availability to work varying hours, including day and night shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional flexibility and demonstrated ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Capability to manage personal rest schedules to ensure readiness for flight duty throughout their assignment.
- Readiness for duty periods that may extend up to fourteen hours daily for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and experiencing extreme weather variations.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, staying in hotels.
- Ability to obtain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language fluently.
- Strong service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including exceptional interpersonal skills for effective passenger interaction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make swift and accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in both technical and passenger-service aspects.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort and ability to work around animals, including handling and care during owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for owners who smoke.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
