Purpose of Position
The Pilot is entrusted with providing a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. Serving as the ambassador of NetJets, the Pilot ensures not only technically proficient and secure transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role demands versatility, encompassing the responsibilities of a professional aviator and an in-flight service provider to deliver a concierge-level experience. The Pilot holds ultimate command of the aircraft at all times and must consistently maintain a professional demeanor.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing, adhering strictly to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). Engages with Owners/passengers pre-flight, provides introductions, briefs them on flight details and itinerary, offers weather updates and safety briefings, and communicates any itinerary changes.
- Performs in-flight service as required, including the serving of alcohol and catering.
- Loads and securely stows all baggage on the aircraft as necessary.
- Accommodates flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Acts as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serves as the primary liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the FBO arrival until safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Reports any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the assigned fleet's Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Completes all required documentation pertaining to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Undertakes other duties as assigned based on specific assignments.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma
- Certifications and Licenses: Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), First Class Medical Certificate

- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Possession of or eligibility for an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, meeting specific FAA 14 CFR Part 61.160 requirements.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time, or alternative hour requirements with university R-ATP or military pilot qualification.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (over 50 nautical miles).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with a minimum of 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- Completion of ATP written examination prior to the start of indoctrination training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and unrestricted international travel.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional flexibility and ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Capability to manage rest to ensure flight duty readiness at all times.
- Willingness to work duty periods up to fourteen hours daily for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and diverse weather conditions.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, staying in hotels.
- Ability to obtain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration required background screening and acquisition of necessary security badges.
- Valid United States passport with unrestricted international travel capabilities.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Strong service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including excellent passenger interaction skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely and accurate decisions with meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical and passenger service aspects.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort and capability to work around animals, including handling and care during Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
