Mandatory prerequisites for consideration include: an unrestricted right to live and work in Australia; a current or frozen Australian Airline Transport Pilots Licence; successful completion of multi-crew cooperation (MCC) training; a current Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Class 1 Australian medical; a multi-engine command instrument rating endorsed with appropriate navigation aids; and eligibility to hold and maintain an Australian Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC).
Candidates must demonstrate a minimum total flying experience of 2,500 hours, encompassing: 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC); 500 hours as multi-engine PIC; and 500 hours of multi-crew experience in aircraft exceeding 5,700kg.
