Cabin Crew
Reports To: In-Charge Cabin Crew, In-Flight Services
The Cabin Crew member plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers throughout the flight journey. This position requires strict adherence to stipulated Company policies and Regulatory Standards to maintain the highest levels of service and operational integrity. The role demands a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences while upholding stringent safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Care: Consistently deliver excellent and superior in-flight service to meet and exceed customer expectations. Foster a positive and welcoming environment for all passengers.
- Safety: Prioritise and ensure the safety and well-being of customers. Effectively manage cabin operations as stipulated in the Safety Emergency Procedures Manual, responding promptly and efficiently to all safety-related situations.
- Discipline & Presentation: Maintain a high level of personal discipline at all times, adhering strictly to the Rules and Regulations for Cabin Crew. Consistently uphold impeccable grooming standards as outlined in the Cabin Crew Grooming Manual.
- Operational Proficiency: Be conversant and knowledgeable with all responsibilities and duties as stipulated for Flight Steward/ess roles. Manage personal performance levels to meet required standards. Demonstrate a customer-focused approach when engaging in service delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Be accountable to the In-flight Supervisor and/or Leading Steward/ess for all matters concerning crew discipline, grooming, performance levels, and all aspects of service delivery across First, Business, and Economy Classes.
- Compliance & Documentation: Conform to all set standards and requirements detailed in the Responsibilities and Duties of Flight Steward/ess. Ensure timely submission of all relevant documents as applicable.
- Equipment Management: Be responsible for the safeguarding, proper handling, and stowage of all Company equipment under their charge.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum SPM or its equivalent recognized by the Malaysian Government, with a Credit in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Age requirement: 18 years and above.
- Minimum height: 157cm for female applicants, 165cm for male applicants.
Skills and Attributes:
- Possess good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
- Exhibit exemplary qualities, including punctuality, dependability, and flexibility with scheduling.
- Ability to understand and strictly follow cabin crew operations, in-flight service standards, and aviation policies and regulations.
Role Demands:
The Cabin Crew role is demanding and requires resilience. Crew members frequently manage and work through tiredness and jet lag, especially when crossing different time zones. The work involves spending considerable time on one's feet in confined spaces and can be physically challenging, particularly on long-haul flights. The ability to manage difficult passengers in an enclosed space with professionalism and discretion is essential. The position involves interacting and working collaboratively with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
