Captain - GVII-500 - Pilot in Command

Lowe's is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for its GVII-500 aircraft. This full-time position, based at the company's airplane hangar in Charlotte, NC, requires a commitment to the safe and efficient air transportation of Lowe's personnel in support of company business. The Captain will operate in full compliance with Lowe's Aviation Operations Manual and all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, comprehensive pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, fuel calculations, and flight plan filing, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, crew, and cargo, and meticulous adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. The Captain will delegate duties to the Second-in-Command and maintain final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume administrative and operational responsibility for all crew members when assigned as PIC.
  • Ensure adherence to the Lowe's Aviation Operations Manual, CFRs, foreign regulations, and company policies.
  • Delegate duties to the Second-in-Command to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operation.
  • Exercise final authority in the operation of the aircraft as Pilot in Command.
  • Guarantee the airworthiness of the aircraft and the validity of all onboard documentation.
  • Conduct thorough weather analysis and determine fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.
  • Calculate aircraft weight and balance prior to flight.
  • Ensure currency of all onboard databases and Electronic Flight Bags.
  • Confirm the fitness of all crew members for flight duties.
  • Comply with all customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
  • Complete detailed post-flight procedures, including reporting any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Report known or suspected violations of FAA regulations.
  • Preserve flight and cockpit voice recorder data in the event of an accident or incident.
  • Participate in the company's Safety Management System.
  • Perform additional duties within the Aviation department, including areas such as Training, Standards, Data Management, International Operations, and Security.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time.
  • A minimum of 2,000 hours of multi-engine flight time.
  • Ability to handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • Possession of a First Class Medical Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
