Job Title: First Officer
Department: Flight Operations
Reports To: Chief Pilot
Position Purpose:
The First Officer is a vital member of the flight crew, responsible for safely assisting the Captain and the entire team. This role requires diligent application of Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles to operate the aircraft in strict accordance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing comprehensive preflight inspections of the aircraft and associated freight.
- Providing assistance to the crew with necessary documentation and paperwork.
- Operating the aircraft with meticulous adherence to company policy, regulations, and procedures.
- Actively identifying and reporting any unsafe condition observed while on the ground or in-flight.
- Conducting thorough post-flight inspections of the aircraft.
Education and Experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Post-secondary education is preferred.
- Previous experience operating under FAR 121 regulations is preferred, though not mandatory.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and fully comprehend spoken and written English is essential.
- Capable of composing routine reports and professional correspondence.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess an FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or a Restricted Multi-Engine Airline Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- A minimum of 2500 hours of total flight time is required, with 4000 hours preferred.
- For applicants with a military background: More than 1000 hours of total time required. Turbine and Pilot-in-Command (PIC) requirements are flexible.
- A minimum of 1500 hours of turbine (Jet) flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) turbine (Jet) flight time.
- Hold a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Possess an FCC Radio License.
- Must have no restrictions on international travel.
- Hold a current US Passport.
- Ability to successfully pass a 10-year security background check and a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
Duties are performed in a dynamic environment both inside and outside the cockpit, exposing the employee to a wide variety of meteorological conditions, including extremes of cold and heat.
