Jet Linx is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second in Command (SIC) for their Gulfstream G200 aircraft, based full-time in Austin, TX. This pivotal role supports Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. A critical requirement for this position is the ability to reside, or willingness to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Austin, TX home base.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command (SIC) plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This includes meticulous flight preparation and strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company operational procedures.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Candidates must meet the following minimum flight experience requirements:
- Total Time: 1500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The Second in Command will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key functions:
- Effectively manage duty, flight, and rest periods, ensuring strict compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Maintain continuous and clear communication with company operations regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight documentation.
- Proactively manage and maintain all Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and software applications to ensure operational readiness.
- Verify the currency and accuracy of all navigation charts, aviation publications, and company operational manuals.
- Hold and maintain a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrate consistently strong, proactive, and sound decision-making abilities in all operational scenarios.

Additional Requirements
- Possession of initial or recurrent Part 142 training specific to the aircraft type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid, unexpired passport.
- An unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- A current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- An FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and willingness to comply with random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, including to all European Union, Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
- Willingness to authorize and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
- The role primarily involves working within and around aircraft and aircraft terminal environments.
- Ability to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx is committed to offering a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting annual base salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $124,000 to $160,000, with the final offer dependent on geographic location, aircraft type, and the candidate’s specific education, training, and experience.
