Second in Command - Gulfstream G200
Jet Linx is seeking a highly qualified individual for the full-time position of Second in Command (SIC) on our Super Midsize Gulfstream G200 aircraft, based in Albuquerque, NM. This role is integral to our Part 91 and 135 flight operations. The ideal candidate will reside, or be prepared to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the base.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command is responsible for the meticulous preparation and safe, efficient operation of company aircraft, adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 2,500 hours of total flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- A minimum of 500 hours of multi-engine flight time.
- A minimum of 100 hours of turbine flight time.
- A minimum of 150 hours of instrument flight time.
Essential Functions
- Meticulously manage duty, flight, and rest periods in accordance with company policies and CFRs.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company for standby assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and pre/post-flight documentation.
- Maintain and manage Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making capabilities.
- Consistently represent and uphold Jet Linx’s core values.
Other Requirements
- Preference for candidates with initial or recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Provide proof of eligibility to work within the United States.
- Possess a current, valid passport.
- Possess an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- Possess a current 1st Class Medical certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Possess unrestricted ability to travel to EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
