Second in Command – Lear 60
Full Time – Scottsdale, AZ
Jet Linx invites applications for the position of Second in Command (SIC) for its Midsize jet aircraft fleet, supporting Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Scottsdale, AZ base area and maintain residency within a two-hour call-out time of the home base.
Position Summary
The Second in Command reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot and is responsible for assisting in the preparation and execution of safe and efficient company aircraft operations. This role ensures all flights adhere to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with company regulations and CFRs.
- Maintain consistent communication with the company regarding standby assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre/post-flight reporting.
- Manage and maintain electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and required applications.
- Ensure the currency of navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Maintain a current First Class medical certificate.
- Exercise strong, proactive decision-making capabilities.

Minimum Flight Experience Requirements
- Total Time: 1500 hours
- Total PIC: 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 100 hours
- Total Instrument: 150 hours
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Possession of an ATP certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- Possession of a First Class Medical certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to authorize and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial or recurrent Part 142 training in the Lear 60 type obtained within the last 24 months.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000, with the actual salary determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage. The majority of work is performed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
