The Opportunity
Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced aviation professionals for the demanding yet rewarding position of Pilot in Command (PIC). This full-time role is dedicated to operating our Midsize jet aircraft fleet, specifically the Citation XLS and XLS+, within comprehensive Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful candidate will be based in Omaha, NE, and must either currently reside, or be willing to relocate, within a 2-hour call-out time of their designated home base, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to operational readiness and responsiveness.
Position Summary & Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. This critical role necessitates a meticulous adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and stringent company procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing all flight operations with the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
- Proactively managing duty, flight, and rest times in strict accordance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintaining continuous and clear communication with company operations for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
- Diligently managing and maintaining Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications to ensure optimal functionality and currency.
- Verifying the currency and integrity of all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Holding and maintaining a current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibiting strong, proactive, and sound decision-making skills under all operational conditions.
- Consistently demonstrating and upholding Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions and duties.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must possess a proven track record of extensive flight experience, meeting the following minimum requirements:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Citation XLS/XLS+): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Additional Requirements
In addition to the flight hour requirements, successful candidates will also fulfill the following essential criteria:
- Current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate (or ability to obtain ATP).
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate.
- Current FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Initial or Recurrent FAA Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a current, valid passport.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, specifically to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and willingness to submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Ability to release and pass a comprehensive FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational demands dictate.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis; the majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
Compensation & Benefits
Jet Linx is committed to attracting and retaining top talent, offering a highly competitive compensation and benefits package to its valued team members. The starting base annual salary for this Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary will be determined based on geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
