Pilot in Command – Beechjet 400A
Location: Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is actively recruiting experienced Pilot in Command candidates for its light jet fleet, specifically the Beechjet 400A, to support Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command is responsible for the meticulous preparation and execution of all flights, adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures. The Pilot in Command ensures the safety and operational integrity of every flight conducted under their command.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Aircraft Type (Beechjet 400A): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Aircraft Type (Beechjet 400A): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Flight Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Flight Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Flight Time: 300 hours
Essential Functions
- Proactively manage duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with both company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight briefings.
- Effectively manage and maintain Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Ensure all navigation charts, publications, and company operational manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibit strong, proactive decision-making capabilities under all operational conditions.
- Consistently embody and demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
- Preference will be given to candidates with initial or recurrent 142 type training within the last 24 months.
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the demonstrated ability to obtain one.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to random drug and alcohol testing protocols as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to successfully complete and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- A significant portion of the work involves time spent in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $182,500. The final base salary is determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size, crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
