Pilot in Command - Midsize Jet
Jet Linx is seeking highly qualified Pilot in Command candidates to join our team. This position is for our Midsize jet aircraft, supporting both Part 91 and 135 flight operations. The ideal candidate will reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out time of their assigned home base.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The PIC is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
The Pilot in Command performs key operational duties, including:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and CFRs.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reports, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintaining and managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensuring navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Maintaining a current First Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills during all phases of flight and operations.
- Upholding Jet Linx's core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Possession of or the ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Possession of a First Class Medical certificate.
- Possession of a FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to authorize and successfully pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operations demand.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to frequently move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary offered is dependent upon factors including geographic location, aircraft size (relevant to crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
